Agenda items include public hearing for a general plan amendment to Land use Map 1 changing 1.72 acres of property on Denman Avenue from Commercial to High-Density Residential and rezoning the same property from General Commercial to Multi-family Residential, conditional use permit for a residential foster care facility on Golf Links Rd, final plat approval for the Chaparral Village North subdivision, and the formation of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

February 15 and 16, 8 a.m.; Sunday, February 17, noon: Rebroadcast of the City Council Work Session followed by the rebroadcast of the City Council Meeting at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Presidents’ Day Holiday Closures and Trash Schedule
On Monday, February 18, most City offices will be closed for the Presidents’ Day Holiday. This includes: City Hall, Sierra Vista Public Library, Sierra Vista Aquatic Center “The Cove,” Ethel H. Berger Center, Henry F. Hauser Museum, Oscar Yrun Community Center, Visitor Center, Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center, and most Public Works facilities. The compost facility will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for gardeners who want to get a head start on their spring gardening and yard work.
Vista Transit buses will operate normal schedules on Presidents’ Day.
Normal trash schedule pickups will take place.
