Title (Max 100 Characters)
The following is a news release from Tohono Chul Park:
Chances are you or your neighbor has a citrus tree in your backyard producing more fruit than you can use each year. You're not alone. In backyards all over Tucson, thousands of pounds of fruits, vegetables, nuts and even edible weeds are going to waste. Iskashitaa Refugee Network identifies, harvests, redistributes and processes these local food resources to feed families instead of landfills. During this class, Director and Founder Barbara Eiswerth, PhD, provides tips on how you too can harvest and enjoy the many "fruits of the desert".
WHEN: February 23 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Education Center #1 at Tohono Chul Park
COST: $4 members, $8 general public. Registration is required for this class; call (520)742-6455 ext. 0 to register
