Suspect arrested in connection with Rendezvous burglary | Crime
Sierra Vista Police have arrested a suspect in the May burglary of a nightclub in Sierra Vista. William “Bill” Brust, was arrested earlier today at his Tucson apartment.
The Rendezvous Night Club, at 40 N. Avenida Escuela was burglarized in May 2012, and a suspect was caught on surveillance breaking into the club. The alleged burglar is then seen on the video using a cutting tool to break into an ATM machine.
While investigating the burglary, detectives received several tips from sources identifying the alleged burglar as Brust. They were able to obtain evidence that tied Brust to the scene and the purchase of tools allegedly used in the robbery.
Detectives served a search warrant on Brust’s apartment, where he was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Damage and one count of Burglary. Brust is currently in custody at the Cochise County Jail.
